Any SWIGS Students interested in earning some money this summer?

Tuesday, June 14, 2016

There is a great opportunity for SWIGS members or others to help water researchers by conducting interviews in Long Point, Lake Erie this summer. Roy Brouwer and Noémie Neverre are looking for one more person to conduct interviews from approximately July 4th to August 14th. The purpose is to elicit public participation and opinion about the increasing presence of Phragmites in Long Point.

Participating in the study involves:

  • A short training session (about 1 hour)
  • Participating in a one-day pretest of the survey design, on Sunday June 19 (if possible)
  • Spending about 4 days a week in Long Point, for about 4 weeks, between July 4 and August 14 (about 16 days on the field in total).

The dates are flexible and housing is provided at Long Point. Travel expenses are also reimbursed. Interviewers are paid for each interview conducted.

If you are interested, please contact Noémie Neverre asap.
