Dear Colleagues,

As Ontario contemplates changes to water governance and management, we want to explore how researchers and others make use of the various watershed-based datasets that are collected by conservation authorities in Ontario.

The World Wildlife Fund-Canada has partnered with the Canadian Environmental Law Association and Environmental Defence to develop a survey so that researchers can share their thoughts and experiences with this data. We kindly request your participation in this survey by February 28, 2020, which can be accessed using the link below:

Participation in this brief (~10 minute) survey is entirely voluntary. All responses are anonymous, however you may choose to provide your contact information at the end of the survey.

Results from the survey will be used to help us:

  • Better understand the role of conservation authorities in watershed monitoring efforts
  • Understand if and how watershed monitoring datasets are being used to advance water protection efforts in Ontario
  • Identify ways to enhance watershed monitoring efforts
  • Advance open data initiatives and goals

Please help us get a fulsome picture. Share this invitation with your colleagues and contacts who may use watershed monitoring datasets.
