Two of our executives, Allison and Logan, met with the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation today! We are pleased to let you know about some the events and efforts being undertaken by the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation in the next month and beyond.
Earthstock, Saturday November 5th (2pm to 6pm)
Chippewas Solidarity and Neruda Arts invite you to join them for an afternoon of music and teachings from the original people at Earthstock! There will be traditional food and drink, silent auction, craft vendors and a panel. This is a family friendly event. There will be a craft room set up for small children.
Tickets can be purchased from the Chippewas Solidarity events page for $20, or $10 for students.
Chippewas Challenging the Line 9 Pipeline
Chippewas of the Thames First Nation are legally challenging the Supreme Court of Canada as a response to the failure of the Canadian government to properly consult Chippewas of the Thames First Nation for Enbridge's Line 9 pipeline reversal project. Chippewas of the Thames First Nation are in solidarity for Indigenous Rights, healthy communities, clean water and against climate change and Line 9.
