Biography

Michelle holds both a Master of Library and Information Studies and a PhD in Information Studies from McGill University. She has previously held academic librarian positions at Carleton University (2003-2011) and Algoma University (2011-2016). Michelle’s areas of specialization are reference, collections, and library instruction. 

In addition to her many years of experience as an academic librarian, Michelle is a recipient of a Capital Educator’s Award from the Ottawa Centre for Research and Innovation (2009) in recognition of her teaching at Carleton University. For over fifteen years, Michelle has taught a variety of courses at both the university and college levels.
