Each year, St. Jerome's University hosts our annual key fundraising event named in honour of our patron saint at the Feast of St. Jerome's. We pride ourselves on being able to provide as many students as possible with scholarships to ease the transition and financial commitment of attending university.
The Feast of St. Jerome has become an event that our community of alumni, supporters, and friends have embraced and looks forward to – it is a time to reconnect with one another and hear first-hand from current students how receiving a scholarship has impacted their experience at St. Jerome's. Scholarships allow more students to benefit from an education rooted in the Catholic Intellectual Tradition and a commitment to educating students' as whole people--mind, body, and spirit.
Each year, at the Feast of St. Jerome's, we feature a prominent keynote speaker, a community leader who has dedicated their life both professionally and personally to Catholic education, healthcare, ministry, civic life, and social services and embodies our institution's highest virtues and values. This person receives our most distinguished honour, the John R. and Kay Sweeney Award for Catholic Leadership. For a list of people who have previously won this award, please go to our Community Awards webpage.
In addition, we recognize two outstanding alumni with our Sister Leon White, SSND, Early Alumni Excellence Award and our Father Norm Choate, C.R., Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award.
Save the date for the 25th Anniversary of the Feast of St. Jerome on Saturday, October 3rd 2026.
