Presenter:

As Campus Engagement Specialist, Andrea Santi develops and implements on-campus recruitment events and provides overall operational support of the University of Waterloo Visitors Centre. She works with faculties, departments, units, and schools and plays a major role in shaping undergraduate recruitment initiatives that effectively build on the University’s global brand reputation. After beginning her career in the urban planning field, Andrea could not stay away from Waterloo. She came back to work in recruitment and has held a few other roles in her Waterloo career. Under Andrea’s direction and leadership, several changes to campus visits and open house events have led to improved processes and working relationships across campus. Andrea presented key learnings from process changes and working with stakeholder teams on this project at Waterloo's Enrollment Management Marketing Roundtable, as well as the OURA (Ontario University Registrars' Association) Conference last year.

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within our Office of Indigenous Relations
