Registration

General information

Registration is now open for the 18th Annual Waterloo Staff Conference and will remain open on Portal until the end of the conference on April 8, 2026!

When choosing your conference session on Portal, you can select one option for each timeframe (which will highlight in gold). All other options for that timing will be blocked out with the words "Time Conflict." To change your selection before submitting, you need to uncheck a box in the time slot you are adjusting so that the other options become available again.

All session details are be located in the 2026 Conference Schedule.

Locations/ format

This year's conference will be a hybrid format:

  • Day 1 - Tuesday, April 7: In-person sessions.
    • Keynotes will be hosted live and live-streamed in the Humanities Theatre in Hagey Hall (HH).
    • Workshops and gathering spaces are located throughout Hagey Hall's School of Accounting and Finance (SAF), the Tatham Centre (TC), and the Arts Lecture Hall (AL). 
    • Exact locations will be added to your Portal Calendar in advance of the conference.
  • Day 2 - Wednesday, April 8 - Virtual streaming of all workshops and keynote sessions on MS Teams.
    • Keynote watch parties: Interested staff can join an in-person keynote watch party in viewing rooms: AL 113 or EC5 1101/1111.

Need help with Portal?

Portal Support: student.portal@uwaterloo.ca 

You will need to register for the event with your WatIAM userID and password. 


Good to know: Where to find event links and my schedule

Once you submit your registration for a session, a confirmation e-mail will be sent to your Waterloo e-mail address with any URL Links you will need, which you'll also find in your Portal Calendar. The Portal Calendar will list all room locations for your in-person sessions, closer to the conference.

Attached to your registration confirmation is a Calendar file you can import into your Outlook as a reminder.

Please note: Should you modify your registration, you will need to re-import the calendar file from your updated registration confirmation. 

As well, your personalized event schedule is on Portal.  Login with your WatIam credentials, on web or app, and look under My Registered Events or on the Calendar function.


Modifying your registration

Need to modify or cancel? Simply log into Portal and visit your registrations in your Portal Calendar. Cancel or modify your sessions as needed - please make sure to click submit. Note: You might not get another confirmation email if you are just modifying you registration but you will see a change in your calendar in Portal.
