Goretty Dias is an Assistant Professor in the School of Environment, Enterprise and Development (SEED). Her areas of expertise are: environmental modeling, including Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), bioenergy and biofuels, sustainable agriculture, and greenhouse gas measurement and analysis. Her research focus is on sustainable bioenergy and agriculture and food systems, which are linked through the food versus fuel debate and energy use in food systems. Professor Dias obtained a BSc in Physical Geography and a PhD in Atmospheric Science from the University of Guelph, and conducted her post-doctoral work in Environmental Engineering.
