Callum (he/him) is a 3rd-year Combinatorics & Optimization student at the University of Waterloo with a strong interest in education, artificial intelligence, and pure mathematics. He has deep experience working in edtech and education, specifically teaching mathematics, while leveraging different tools and strategies that make learning math easier and more enjoyable.
Callum's role at the Teaching Innovation Incubator is centred around supporting the five GenAI Teaching Enablement Fellowship projects through the fall and winter terms. He works closely with project teams to develop, explore, and evaluate deployments in teaching and learning environments, while assisting teams to refine their approaches based on project data and student feedback. His work includes supporting development of AI tools, technical and data analysis, research and evaluation, project management, and the development of resources to help instructors get the most out of these tools.
