Graduated Teaching Innovation Incubator Projects
Accelerating Integration of Sustainability into the Curriculum
This project has contributed to Waterloo’s culture of teaching innovation by creating and embedding a flexible sustainability competency framework for cross-disciplinary use and implementation across Waterloo’s programs. Leveraging cross-campus consultation and collaboration with faculty, staff, and students, the project has seen its framework implemented in a variety of departments at the University of Waterloo.
Evaluating LEARN Tools - Creator+
This project has contributed to Waterloo's understanding of instructor needs and capacity with respect to integrative student engagement tools compatible with Waterloo LEARN. Despite instructor interest in leveraging centrally supported student engagement tools, the project revealed significant barriers to integration in academic courses.
Evaluating LEARN Tools — Performance+
This project has contributed to Waterloo's understanding of learner data reporting and analytics in LEARN. Despite the Performance+ tool not addressing Waterloo's needs,the institution now has a better understanding of its future needs to develop a learning analytics and implementation strategy that leverages existing work within Waterloo faculties and Academic Support Units, reviews data governance and retention policies and processes, and builds capacity where there are gaps.
