Ukrainian Folk Song
The presence of Ukrainian and Norther European culture is evident throughout the play, especially in the songs. “Plyve Kacha Po Tysyni" which translates to "The duckling swims", is an old Ukrainian folk song about a young soldier who goes overseas to fight in a war.
