Brian is a second year Ph.D. candidate in the history program at Laurier. As a mature student, he had a life before his return to academia. He says, "I don't regret the decision to return to academics one bit! I believe that our paths are all unique and that's part of what makes us human. In addition to history, I am a strong believer in harm reduction, and in helping those whose lives can use an empathetic ear and a smile."
