Tri-University MA program

The Tri-University MA in History program combines the expertise of three of Ontario's top universities and offers graduates the skills and knowledge needed for a variety of exciting careers, including business, law, politics, journalism, government service, and teaching. By combining the expertise of the University of Guelph, University of Waterloo, and Wilfrid Laurier University, students can take courses at all three institutions and participate in a world-class research program.

Program options

We offer several MA program study options, including coursework, a combination of coursework and a major research paper, or coursework and an MA thesis. Our flexible full-time and part-time options allow you to balance your academic and personal commitments while taking courses at all three campuses so that you can tailor your academic experience to suit your unique goals and interests.

Enrolment

All study options are offered on a full-time and part-time basis. Full-time students typically complete the program in 1 year (3 terms), and part-time students typically complete the program in 2 years (6 terms).
