Gillian is a current PhD student at the University of Waterloo, with both a BA (2021) and MA (2023) in history from the University of Waterloo. Working under the co-supervision of Profs. Steven Bednarski and Geoffrey Hayes, and in association with the DRAGEN Lab at St. Jerome’s University, Gillian’s work will focus on the power dynamics and networks of connection among civilian prisoners and members of the Veterans Guard of Canada within Canadian internment camps of the Second World War
