Murad is a current PhD candidate at the University of Waterloo, with BA (2018) in Applied Health and MA (2023) in History of Arctic Security from the University of Waterloo. Working under the co-supervision of Profs. Steven Bednarski and Geoffrey Hayes, and in association with the DRAGEN Lab at St. Jerome’s University, Murad's work will focus on creating a comprehensive analysis of the Canadian courts martial files from 1930-1946, focusing on the perceived intersections of masculinity and military discipline.
