Norah has a Bachelor of Arts in Archaeology from Damascus University in Syria and a Master’s degree in History from the University of Guelph. Currently, she works as a teaching assistant for Arabic language courses at Renison University College, University of Waterloo and also serves as a private tutor for Teaching Arabic as a Second Language (TASOL). In her free time, she enjoys volunteering, reading, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends.

For Norah's Ph.D. project, she is collaborating with Dr. Catherine Carstairs to investigate changes in immigrants' health and the barriers to accessing Medicare and public health services in Canada. This study will examine these issues from 1967, the year Canada implemented its Immigration Points System, up to the present.
