William graduated from Queen's University in 2019 with a BAH in History. After taking a few years off to join the workforce, William enrolled at the University of Guelph in 2022. Combining his shared passions for history and sports, William's research interests include the histories of the Winter Olympic Games, Canadian and International ice hockey, and the global diffusion of sport in the early 20th century, with a focus on their social-cultural impacts. His current thesis project examines newspaper coverage of the 1920-1936 Canadian Olympic ice hockey team's and their impacts on memory, identity, and culture from a local, national and global perspective.
