Zachary is a PhD student in History at the University of Guelph, supervised by Dr. Rebecca Beausaert. He completed his BA at Michigan State University and his MA at Central Michigan University. His research focuses on rural and agricultural history in the United States, with his master's work examining how Michigan farming communities created identity, memory, and a sense of place. At Guelph, he is expanding this research into a transnational, comparative study of rural communities across Canada and the United States.
