The value of strong partnerships between universities and industry has become increasingly important. Sanjeev Gill, associate vice-president innovation and acting executive director, WatSPEED, discusses some of the University of Waterloo’s initiatives to strengthen these connections—such as professional development, microcredentials, research parternships, co-operative education, and more—and the value that both parties gain from these deepening relationships.
