The Life of Wayne Booth

Wayne Clayson Booth (1921-2005) was one of the most influential literary critics and rhetoricians of the 20th century whose influence continues. He was instrumental in the reanimation of ethical criticism, in the development of narrative theory, in the growth of critical pluralism, and in the sense that rhetoric is fundamental to social life, and therefore to the human condition.
