Bio
Elisabeth M. Werner works in analysis and convex geometry. She received her PhD from Université Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris VI in 1989. The same year she became Assistant Professor at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. Since 2002 she is Full Professor there. From August 2014 to May 2015 she was Associate Director at the Institute for Mathematics and its Applications at the University of Minnesota. She spent extended research periods at e.g., the Hausdorff Institute in Bonn, the Mathematical Science Research Institute in Berkeley, the Renyi Institute in Budapest, the Goethe Universitaet Frankfurt, and she was the Caroline Herschel Professor at the Ruhr Universitaet Bochum. Elisabeth Werner is a Simons Fellow and an Inaugural Fellow of the American Mathematical Society.
