Last time this year, we saw our 40,000th alumnus cross the stage and we got to celebrate every graduate. Unfortunately, we don’t get to do that with the Class of 2020. This year’s graduation will be like no other we’ve ever had because it’s virtual and we hope to hold an in-person ceremony as soon as we are able. But our nearly 1,200 students conferring still deserve a memorable end to their time in the Faculty of Mathematics.
On what would have been our Alumni Weekend, June 5th, we are inviting alumni from across the globe to help us give this year’s graduating class a little something extra.
Math alumni will participate (virtually) alongside this year’s graduating class in a full day of panels, games, AMAs and opportunities to share your best piece of advice.
Although we cannot be together and celebrate with our conferring students and their families in-person, it doesn’t diminish their accomplishments. We’re sure that, with our alumni’s help, we can give them an experience they won’t forget.
The Faculty of Mathematics is proud of all our graduates’ achievements. We know that we can count on the graduates who came before to join us in celebrating the Class of 2020 and give them a great send-off!
Can’t make it? Sign in to our Waterloo Math Digital Community and leave a message on our 2020 Graduation Hub.
