Join us for a panel discussion focused on understanding and promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in academic settings. All members of our academic communities should strive to create equitable, diverse, and inclusive environments.
Topics for this discussion will include:
- What EDI is in the context of academia
- Why it is important to be mindful of EDI and promote it in mathematics research
- How the average mathematician can create equitable, diverse, and inclusive environments to support underrepresented groups
- EDI goals for the larger mathematics community
