Self defense workshop by University of Waterloo Women in Science, Technoogy, Engineering, Mathematics

WiSTEM (Women in STEM) is offering free self-defence classes for women and transfolk in STEM. The course consists of a two hour class focusing on escape tactics, including physical and verbal techniques catered to women’s strengths. Participants will also engage in a healthy discussion about views and laws of sexual harassment. The course is taught by certified instructors who are part of the UWaterloo Karate and Jujitsu Club. Come out to learn some self-defence, gain confidence, and network with other women in STEM fields!
