Contest Rules

Eligibility  

To participate in the draw, you must be a current student at the University of Waterloo. 

To enter the draw without participating in the game, please send your full name, University of Waterloo email address, and a photo of your WatCard to Meghan Ashdown at mashdown@uwaterloo.ca. Please include the title “Prize entry” in the subject box. Please Note: when information is transmitted over the internet privacy cannot be guaranteed. There is always a risk your responses may be intercepted by a third party (e.g., government agencies, hackers). University of Waterloo staff will not collect or use internet protocol (IP) addresses or other information which could link your participation to your computer or electronic device without first informing you.  

Prize  

There is one prize of a backpack filled with treats, school supplies and SWAG valued at approximately $300. Your odds of winning are based on the number of individuals that participate in the survey.  

Deadline  

The contest will close on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. After this date, no further entries will be collected.  

Draw Procedure  

The random prize draw will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. The winner will be notified via the email address that they provide at the time of entry. The winner must answer a skill-testing question correctly in order to receive the prize.  

 Privacy  

Any contact information collected for the draw will remain confidential and all information collected will be deleted following the completion of the prize draw.
