The WCC is proud to present a new student study area that we’ve been getting ready for the winter 2023 term!
Welcome to: The Write Spot!
Available on the second floor of the South Campus Hall (SCH) building in room 219, this area is aimed at providing students with meeting areas as well as with on-the-spot writing support. This area will contain two private meeting spaces for WCC appointments, multiple seating places and work areas, and a wandering peer tutor that will be available to support you with your work. This area will also provide a coffee station that will be open to students for free and some lounge seating that you are welcome to use.
This area will be available for student drop-ins starting on Monday, January 16, 2023. Room 219 will be available throughout the winter 2023 term up until April 28, 2023. We will open around 8:30 am each morning and close at roughly 4:30 pm in the afternoon, much like our Student Success Office does.
Students will be required to check-in at our reception desk in room 219 before going in to access our services. They will also be required to wear a mask, but we will provide these onsite should you need one. As COVID regulations change, this mask mandate may be changed accordingly.
