ECC provides an online space for undergraduate and graduate English Language Learners (ELL) to practice conversational English with friendly staff and students. Our ECC program offers students a place to make new friends and reconnect with old ones. Our facilitators create an welcoming environment to share resources for newcomers to Canada and the UWaterloo community, and they encourage and embrace intercultural discussions.
The ECC program is a dedicated space for open discussions about Canada, Canadians and the international community, with unique scenario-based activities to practice your everyday spoken English. ECC meets twice per week for an hour, in a 6-week period. Sessions are led virtually by two full-time staff members.
The Winter 2022 ECC program begins on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 and ends on Wednesday, March 9, 2022. ECC meets on Tuesdays from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm and Wednesdays from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Microsoft Teams.
