We're moving to single sign-on!
Heads-up, UWaterloo! The Writing and Communication Centre’s online appointment booking platform, WCOnline, will be moving to UWaterloo’s single sign-on soon!
What does this mean for you?
Signing into WCOnline will be easier and more secure! Students will not need to register for WCOnline anymore, as your account will be linked to your WatIAM information. No more remembering multiple passwords, no more getting locked out for too many tries, just quick and easy access to your appointments with the same information you use for everything else at UWaterloo!
How does it work?
To log into WCOnline, just enter your WatIAM credentials and complete the two-factor authentication (via Duo), and you’ll be taken directly to the appointment booking calendar. If you already have an account with WCOnline, you don’t need to do anything in WCOnline to update your new account. At your next appointment your advisor will take a moment to confirm and merge your old account with your new one so that your appointment records stay together and accessible. Finally, to navigate between the in-person/online appointments and email appointments, you’ll just need to select the schedule at the top of the screen in the "Schedules" drop-down list.
Have questions?
If you’re not sure how this will work for you, or if you have any questions at all about the shift to single sign-on, please reach out to us at wcc@uwaterloo.ca and we would be happy to chat with you about this exciting change!
