Amanda brings 20 years of cross-cultural experience as an English teacher and writing advisor. Her academic journey began in Brazil, where she earned a Bachelor of Law and a double Bachelor of Education in English and Portuguese Language Teaching, before completing a Master's in Library and Information Science at Western University in 2019.

Since relocating to Canada, Amanda has worked at King's University College's writing centre and served as a Public Librarian for four years. She now works at the WCC, where she supports undergraduate students across all disciplines throughout every stage of the writing process. As a multilingual specialist, Amanda also develops programming and resources for multilingual learners. Fluent in Portuguese and English, she is committed to fostering inclusive learning environments where all students can develop their academic voice and achieve their writing goals.
