In her role as a Writing and Communication Advisor, Sarah Menzies (she/her) supports undergraduate students across disciplines throughout all stages of the writing process. She graduated from Western University with a bachelor’s in English literature and was awarded a SSHRC Canada Graduate Scholarship in 2019 to pursue her master’s in English with a Specialization in Transitional Justice and Post-Conflict Reconstruction. With over eight years of experience working in student affairs, Sarah brings to her role a comprehensive background in strategic communications, project management, and equity, diversity, inclusion, and access. She is especially passionate about promoting access in higher education for racialized, marginalized, and historically underrepresented members of our campus community. Outside of work, you’ll likely find Sarah with a piping hot cup of tea and a good book, or spending quality time with her cat, Luna.
