Writing and Communication Centre

The Writing and Communication Centre offers a variety of workshops, resources and events to help graduate students develop skills to enhance their papers, presentations, thesis, and more. They also offer appointments to work with students for planning, revisions etc.

The Dissertation Boot Camp is designed to help Master's and PhD students develop a sustainable writing practice to complete a dissertation or thesis, this four-day program combines workshops with writing time and individual consultations to help thesis and dissertation writers set goals and make progress in their work. LinkedIn Learning

Learn new business, technology-related, and creative skills through expert-led course videos with LinkedIn Learning. University of Waterloo students have free access to a wide variety of courses by just using their school email to log in.

GRADventure

GRADventure is a central hub of professional development resources designed specifically for graduate students at the University of Waterloo.

The Professional Skills Foundations program guides students to proactively improve their professional development with workshops, activities, mock interviews while setting their own timeline for completion. This program can equip students to approach their goals and opportunities with confidence.

Co-op for Graduate students

There are a number of graduate programs with a co-op option! Various services are made available to all graduate students to help you find a co-op position, such as Career Hub's online resources, Centre for Career Action's services and WaterlooWorks' job boards.
