ECE professor Christopher Wilson is part of a research group that has just published a paper in Nature Physics titled "Probing the quantum vacuum with an artificial atom in front of a mirror".  Please see the news item at the Institute for Quantum Computing for more details.  Professor Wilson was also featured in an article in New Scientist magazine recently about the same topic.
