2021 University closure details for the holiday break

The University is officially closed for the holiday break on Friday, December, 24 through to Monday, January 3, 2022, with operations resuming on Tuesday, January 4, 2022.

The co-op term begins on Tuesday, January 4, with classes and lectures set to begin online (with some exceptions) beginning Wednesday, January 5, 2022.

Celebrating International Education Week

From November 15-19, the University of Waterloo will highlight the merits of international education by celebrating International Education Week (#IEW2021). At the Student Success Office (SSO), we see this week as an opportunity to highlight the value of international education for the whole campus community, specifically the way it fosters global connections. This November, discover the many virtual and on-campus events taking place and how the SSO can help you make global connections all year round.

Applications to go on exchange during summer/fall 2022 and winter/spring 2023 are now open on Waterloo Passport. Apply before November 1 at 3:59 p.m. to be considered in the first round of matching and be entered to win your exchange application fee.
