Team Lead, Graduate Student Orientation 

The Team Lead, Facilitator and Volunteer Support, will support all aspects of volunteer training and management related to Graduate Orientation. They will also work closely with other student facilitators hired by the Student Success Office.

Facilitator, Graduate Student Orientation 

The Student Success Office is looking for motivated and passionate graduate student leaders to develop and facilitate sessions for the 2016 Graduate Orientation. All facilitators must have excellent public speaking skills, be comfortable speaking to large groups and possess strong interpersonal skills.

Facilitator, Transfer and Exchange Student Orientation 

The Student Success Office is looking for outgoing and enthusiastic students to facilitate the 2016 Orientation for transfer and exchange students. Student facilitators will be comfortable communicating with large groups and have a passion for new student experience.

Peer Success Coach

Peer Success Coaches are upper-year students from diverse faculties and student populations. They facilitate one-on-one appointments and academic workshops to help students set personal learning goals and improve their academic skills.

These student staff:

  • Create an environment that is empathic and non-judgmental
  • Listen effectively and encourage active learning
  • Personalize learning strategies to fit unique student needs
  • Combine learning strategies with personal UWaterloo student experience

  • Enhance your leadership skills by providing valuable support and resources to fellow peers
  • Improve your interpersonal skills and promote positive change and growth
