We can plan events, activities, and programs, but without the help and dedication of hundreds of student volunteers and leaders, they wouldn’t run as smoothly or be as successful. We love working with students and encourage anyone who would like to be more involved with the Student Success Office to contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Student Consultation Group
The Student Consultation Group is where we want you to share your opinions on topics affecting current Waterloo students.
In a small-group setting, you can weigh in on topics like the university web site, how the university communicates with you via email, what you’d like to see in a Waterloo app or a Student Success blog. As a thank you for your participation we'll add $10 to your WatCard.
Registrar’s Office communications to students March 13 (12-1pm)
How can the Registrar’s Office (RO) improve its communications with students? The RO wants to hear your opinions on the best way to get in touch with you, how often we should communicate with you, and whether or not RO emails, print pieces, and webpages meet your needs. Sign up to tell us you thoughts and we’ll provide you with a free lunch and $10 on your WatCard.
Register for RO communications consultation group using LEADS. (Note: you'll have to enter your WATIAM username and password).
Scheduling, Timetabling, and Examination Project (STEP) March 5 (12-1pm)
What makes a good class schedule? Are breaks important between classes? What are some of the issues you have with your current schedule? The University would like to hear your thoughts on class schedules as the Registrar’s Office leads an on-campus committee to help enhance the way the University schedules its classes. Software has been purchased to integrate with Quest and allow us to build schedules based on student demand and instructor teaching requirements, giving students timely access to courses they need, and minimize or eliminate space shortages. Come for a free lunch, get $10 on your Watcard and share your thoughts about improving class schedules for students.
