Transition-metal oxides (TMO)
Flexible transition metal oxide (TMO) based electronics, such as InGaZnO (IGZO) provide novel functionality not offered by their silicon counterparts such as transparency in the visible spectrum, high field-effect mobility, and potential for room temperature processing. This TFT technology has opened a new window to transparent flexible electronics and has the potential to enable enhanced functionality in conventional large-area electronics applications ranging from smart windows and heads-up displays to flexible sensor arrays.
Our group is currently developing simple, low-cost, and scalable patterning processes for fabrication of large-area transparent flexible electronics based on transition metal oxides such as ZnO, InGaZnO, and AZO materials.
