Krizia Mae Francisco, a PhD member of our lab under the supervision of Professor Catherine M. Burns, in collaboration with Sabrina Saiko and Sormeh Mehri, Master’s students and lab members, published their findings in JMIR Publications! This research focuses on the protocol the team designed to understand how primary care clinicians respond to AI-enabled electronic medical record encounters.

As the use of AI accelerates, it’s essential to be thoughtful about how we integrate these technologies into healthcare practice. The findings from this study are crucial as we strive to ensure AI systems are both effective and user-friendly for clinicians. By understanding their interactions with AI, we can make significant strides in improving patient care and optimizing healthcare workflows.
