Oktoberfest recognizes the achievements of local women in KW

Dominic Barton, global business leader, strategic advisor, author and former diplomat, honoured as outgoing two-term chancellor of the University of Waterloo. 

In July, alumni working in finance gathered in New York for a special event with discussions about global finance and opportunities to give.

On Tuesday, July 4, University of Waterloo President & Vice-Chancellor Vivek Goel emailed UWaterloo alumni asking them to reflect on the horrific hate-filled attack that occurred on June 28 in Hagey Hall. Dr. Goel shared his shared his appreciation for everyone who has come together to provide support to as our community begins the process of healing.

On Wednesday, June 28, an attack targeting our people on the basis of a hateful view of gender expression and identity occurred on our main campus in Hagey Hall during a second-year lecture for Philosophy 202 – Gender Studies.

Nenone Donaldson, Vice President of Advancement addressed University of Waterloo alumni regarding this incidence.
