Research overview
Our aims are to apply artificial intelligence (AI) to manufacturing and biomedicine, such as AI-based assembly, AI-based defect detection and prevention, non-destructive imaging and testing, non-invasive surgery and treatment.
Machine learning and robotics are essential tools to achieve the aims. We are conducting diverse areas of researches ranging from robotic arm manipulation using AI-based sensor feedback, non-destructive evaluation (NDE) and testing (NDT), smart factory, ultrasonic imaging, high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) and elastography.
We also perform system design and integration to automate the imaging and testing processes.
