Erin Bowman

Erin completed her BSc (Honours) in Psychology and Neuroscience at Laurier in 2022. She's currently a first-year M.A. student in clinical psychology. Erin is broadly interested in identifying predictors of treatment response in individuals with OCD.

Taylor Crawford is a PhD student in Clinical Psychology who is interested in understanding the quality and function of safety behaviours in generalized anxiety disorder. She is currently investigating the similarities and differences in reassurance seeking across generalized anxiety disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Tyler Eschenwecker is a PhD student in clinical psychology who is interested in understanding maintaining factors of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. He is particularly interested in understanding how compulsion goals impact the way people perform their compulsions.

Jolie Ho

Jolie Ho is a PhD student in clinical psychology whose research focuses on potential ways for socially anxious individuals to seek close connections with others and their experiences of social reward. Her MA research examined social anxiety in the context of COVID-19, particularly how the interpersonal experiences of socially anxious individuals during the pandemic were influenced by symptom impairment and COVID-related stressors.

Sophia Kudryk

Sophia Kudryk is a second-year M.A. student in clinical psychology. She is broadly interested in investigating autobiographical memory in socially anxious individuals.

Aliya McNeil

Graduate researcher

Aliya McNeil is a PhD student in clinical psychology at the University of Waterloo. Aliya is interested in understanding whether fears of receiving compassion and expressing self-compassion explain why attachment insecurity is positively associated with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) symptom severity. She is also exploring how self-conscious emotions such as shame are related to fears of compassion and OCD symptoms. 

Pragya Sharma

Research Coordinator

Pragya Sharma is the current Research Coordinator at the Anxiety Studies Lab. She recently graduated with a BA Honors in Psychology from the University of Waterloo. Pragya is passionate about clinical psychology and is especially interested in how psychopathology affects everyday lives. She plans to attend graduate school in this field.
