New Study: Treating Negative Mental Images and Memories in Social Anxiety

This study is a new “talk therapy” treatment study for social anxiety. Participation in the treatment intervention will entail discussing personal thoughts and feelings associated with your memories of social situations, and working closely with the researcher-therapist to examine, change, or experience these memories in a new way.

Throughout the study, participants will also be asked to complete one-on-one interviews, online questionnaires and computer tasks relating to their emotions, moods, and social experiences.

This study is being conducted by Professor David Moscovitch and coordinated by Postdoctoral Fellow Mia Romano of the University of Waterloo (UW) Department of Psychology and Centre for Mental Health Research (CMHR).

All sessions will take place in the PAS Building at UW, either in the Moscovitch Lab or at the UW Centre for Mental Health Research.

If you are interested in hearing more about the study please contact the researchers by email, imagerystudies@gmail.com or by phone, 519-888-4567, x38798.
