The Waterloo AI Institute has organized from the 17th to 19th of October 2019 its second reverse co-op event involving industrial partners and sponsors of the Institute. The event was preceded by the annual partner meeting day on October 16th, which highlighted progress on research undertaken by Waterloo AI Institute members with funding from the industrial partners. The reverse co-op activity of the event was spread over three days and included presentations made by experts in the field of Natural Language Understanding (theory and applications). The event was very successful as per the testimony of the attendees coming from various Canadian regions. In total, more than 50 representatives (managers, and research staff of industrial partners) attended the event.
