Waterloo alumus adds muscle to Canadian Olympic medical team
As the world turns its eyes on Sochi, Richard Robinson is fixing his on the form and motion of Canadian Olympians.
Robinson’s skill in chiropractic medicine, primed by his kinesiology degree from the University of Waterloo (BSc. 1993), has earned him a spot on the support team for Canada’s athletes in the Russian city.
“I really like amateur sport,” says Robinson, director of chiropractic services for LifeMark Health in Calgary. "I really appreciate the genuineness of the athletes, the non-entitlement of the athletes. They are a pleasure to work with.’’

Aftab Patla Memorial Cup Hockey Game
Friday, March 28th at 5:30 pm | CIF Hockey Arena
This fun and entertaining fund-raising hockey game began in 2007 to commemorate our colleague and mentor who died after a courageous battle with cancer. Dr. Aftab Patla was a professor of Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo for 25 years with a research interest in health, aging and human movement.
The Aftab Patla Memorial Cup hockey game pits a team of Kinesiology Undergraduate Students against a team made up of Kinesiology Graduate Students, Faculty and Staff. Come cheer on your respective teams, this game is sure to be an entertaining one!

Calling all graduating students! The grad formal is coming soon, and will be a great place to connect with your fellow classmates one last time before graduating!The night will feature an all-you-can-eat buffet of delicious food and coupon for one alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverage (included with purchase of your ticket), cash bar, professional photography, great music and dance floor, door prizes and an opportunity to dress up in your favourite style from any era of Hollywood (1920's, 1960's, 1980's, whatever)!
