Prof. Weihua Zhuang, Xuemin (Sherman) Shen, and our BBCR members attended the 2024 IEEE 100th Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC2024-Fall) on October 7, 2024, in Washington DC, USA. As the president of the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society,  Prof. Zhuang gave the opening remarks and hosted the award event.

Our work titled “Energy-Efficient UAV-Assisted Mobile Edge Computing: Resource Allocation and Trajectory Optimization” by Mushu Li, Nan Cheng, Jie Gao, Yinlu Wang, Lian Zhao, and Prof. Sherman (Xuemin) Shen received the 2024 IEEE Best Land Transportation Paper Award from the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society. Congratulations!

Prof. Sherman Shen attended the IEEE Hong Kong 6G Wireless Summit, on September 11-12, 2024, in Hong Kong, China, and gave a speech on "Holistic Network Virtualization: AI-native 6G".

The IEEE Hong Kong 6G Wireless Summit attracts participation from prominent academics, leading industry members and practitioners, and government leaders. It offers attendees from research and industry innovative insights from industry leaders and academic pioneers regarding the latest research on 6G and standards activities from leading wireless research centers around the world. The presentations will only include invited talks and panels and are intended to provide critical information on 6G technological advances to help guide current and future decisions on use and implementation of these technologies.
