Professor Xuemin (Sherman) Shen has been selected as the 2026 recipient of the IEEE Canada A.G.L. McNaughton Award, one of IEEE Canada’s most prestigious medal distinctions.
This honour recognizes exceptional contributions to the field of electrical and electronics engineering, as reflected in the award citation:
"For contributions to wireless and ultra-band communication networks with substantial impact on accessibility, security, and user privacy protection."
Established in 1969, the A.G.L. McNaughton Award is one of IEEE Canada’s highest honours. It is presented to outstanding Canadian engineers in recognition of exemplary contributions to the engineering profession.
