Professor Campbell presents at the 2019 Alzheimer's Association International Conference

Monday, July 15, 2019

Professor Campbell presented a poster summarising her most recent research on amyloid deposits in the retina at the 2019 Alzheimer's Association International Conference (AAIC) in Los Angeles.

Professor Campbell's research shows amyloid deposits in the retina in association with Alzheimer's disease with uniform density proportional to disease severity. With the uniform density of deposits, imaging the central retina alone is enough to correlate with Alzheimer's brain pathology. This finding brings Campbell Labs once step closer to applying translational research to a potential non-invasive technique of detecting Alzheimer's disease in the living eye.

At Campbell Labs, we bridge the gap between physics and biology with our interdisciplinary research.

AAIC is the leading annual conference for those working in dementia science. Groundbreaking basic research, clinical findings and everything in between is found at AAIC. Participating with international experts promotes research impact and breakthroughs in dementia research.
