Accessibility in Teaching

The University of Waterloo is committed to achieving barrier-free accessibility for persons with disabilities studying, visiting and/or working at Waterloo.

The Accessible Teaching website was created by the integrated teaching support unit (formerly the Centre for Teaching Excellence, Centre for Extended Learning, and Teaching Innovation Incubator) and sponsored by the Office of the Associate Vice-President, Academic (AVPA).

Campus Accessibility hosts Guides and Resources for integrating accessibility into your work at Waterloo.

AccessAbility Services (AAS) helps students with known or unknown disabilities/conditions/illnesses, or who are experiencing impacts from trauma, to develop their academic accommodation plans. AAS helps Faculty and Staff understand their obligations and offers services and resources to help them facilitate academic accommodations.
