Matea Ceric

Matea is a second-year MASc student in the department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Waterloo. Her research focuses on implementing, calibrating and investigating the response of an instrumented pavement road section in Kitchener, ON, and developing conclusions based on season and pavement condition. This is to develop a preliminary understanding on the pavement performance and how it is impacted by various load and environmental factors, to eventually provide a lead in the development of AI models for pavement performance prediction and climate change impacts on pavement performance. Matea has previously completed her Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Civil Engineering at the University of Waterloo in 2022. In her spare time, Matea enjoys various hobbies (painting, knitting), going on hikes and travelling to new places.
