On December 10th, 2019, the International Workshop on Crack-Healing of Asphalt Pavement Materials was held by Beijing University of Technology and the International Union of Laboratories and Experts in Construction Materials, Systems and Structures (RILEM) in Beijing. Prof. Hassan Baaj was invited to chair this workshop program, and as the keynote speaker, he gave a speech on Crack-Healing of Asphalt Materials - An Overview of the RILEM TC Activities. This workshop provides guidance to define asphalt materials healing behavior, evaluate the self-healing capability of asphalt materials, develop the specification test protocols for the healing performance, etc. Details of this international workshop can be viewed here.
