Join the Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) for a meaningful evening of learning, reflection, and community conversation as they welcome Phyllis Webstad, the founder of the Orange Shirt Society.
In 1973, at the age of six, Phyllis was sent to a residential school and on her first day wore an orange shirt, gifted to her by her grandmother. At her arrival, this gift was promptly taken from her.
At this event, Phyllis will share a presentation on her experience and reconciliation. This gathering is designed to create a space for students and the campus community to listen, ask questions, and shared next steps.
Refreshments will be provided.
