Research Highlights

Along with training and community engagement, research has been one of the core activities of the Kindred Credit Union Centre for Peace Advancement since its inception. This page highlights recent research publications by organizations and individuals affiliated with the Centre, all of whom are motivated by the positive impact that their research can have on communities near and far.

Find out more about research in the Centre in an article written by the Centre's Director.

Research is an important way we can better understand—and take action on—the growing number of challenges our world faces in building peace. The Centre for Peace Advancement’s research community is anchored by affiliate organizations and individual Research Fellows who pursue collaborative projects to generate new insights and enable constructive change. We are also eager to equip students with research skills, and many have benefitted from internships, a Certificate Program in Community Based Research, and Map the System, a global research competition that requires students to apply a system-thinking lens to clarify their understanding of a complex social or environmental challenge.
